Nursery (back in 2011)
1. Those curtains are going to be taken down and made into twin headboards. I think each panel should be big enough to stretch over the good ole plywood + eggcrate headboard DIY kit.
I'm not in LOVE with the fabric but when I was doing the nursery it was red, cheap, and not too boyish or girly. I would love to pick something totally different like a kickass China Seas, (or steal my childhood beds from my parents house) but I am forcing myself to reuse and reduce so here we go!
2. I started looking for two duvet covers to go on the beds and good grief they are all expensive. A quick google search and BAM, Pottery Barn duvet covers on SALE! Woohoo!
3. Pillows. The sham was not available from Pottery Barn but I have the shams from the daybed as seen in the photo. Plus, I still need to pick out sheets that will go with the room. (Ignore poorly made up Daybed)
Since he is a boy and such a wild and crazy kid I think I want fun sheets. Only issue is they have to at least be blue to tie in the wall color. Here are a ton of fun ones...
*RH sheet sets do not include pillowcases. And for twin beds I'm going to need 2 sets. And for a toddler I should have spare sets right? OUCH$$$$$.
Includes 1 pillowcase! And my little guy was obsessed with the Stingrays at SeaWorld
This is getting colorful but I kind of love these. He still is obsessed with Cars and this is a much cuter version than going full Disney store.
More grown-up, feeds my obsession with stripes and almost identical to the Restoration Hardware ones.
Love all Gingham. Wish I could find Buffalo Check.
Whales?
These almost look EXACTLY like the sheets I had as a kid. Man I'm starting to regret the red and dreaming of all blue and white but I'm sticking to it!
Why the price jump? These are too fun!
Love this color and will be the same as his walls.
Too cute. But multiple pairs....ouch.
I had a shirt this print that I wore all the time. Also looks similar to my childhood sheets. But fun enough?
And still...this shot takes my breath away. I would do an ALL BLUE room if I wasn't trying to use what I already had. Maybe the next house!
But this red fabric isn't so bad...right?
Look at that peanut! (Sarah E if you still have that outfit I will buy it from you!)
xo,

You have such a great blog! Totally real and funny and sweet. No affiliate links and paid posts- seriously refreshing!! Thanks for sharing with all of us :)
ReplyDeleteWow. The room is not just an ordinary simple, but truly gorgeous! Every single style and design of the sheets is exquisite. You can choose the stripe I think. I’m impressed and inspired that I stumble upon here!

Love the red, it'll make awesome headboards. Those are all great pics, the cars and the Garnett Hill designs stuck out to me. I want your energy when it comes to decorating....come decorate my house??
