Go Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Breast Cancer took one of the brightest lights on this earth from my Camp family last summer. Jennie Lewis will always be remembered for her spunk, her Beastie Boys rendition of "She's CRAFTY!" and her epic Rockbrook Camp dance parties.

I found a lump in July 2010. It turned out to be nothing but I would have never found it if I wasn't scrubbing off that dang aerosol sunblock from my bikini-clad (pre-kid) body. I went in for my first appointment and had to go to a follow up. I ended up having an ultrasound b/c there was a chance I could have been pregnant (turned out I was!) and the lump was actually caused by my spike in hormones. A positive ending for me but for so many the outcome is very different.

Please make sure to check yourself regularly. It just takes a few minutes.

To help support Breast Cancer Awareness month I have found you some Pink! And don't forget..... Do a self exam today. Or on a friend. Or have your husband do it. Or make it a group thing.
